WALKS IN SALAMANCA

Walking is perhaps one of the best ways to "get" a city, take its pulse and try to keep it going with our own pace.

Salamanca, as a World Heritage City, has a rich monumental legacy, as well as corners, accents, crossroads in which to meet characters from the past, the present or the future. For this reason and especially in autumn and spring, Salamanca organizes PASEOS POR SALAMANCA. A program of free guided tours of the city.

Varied tours that combine the stops in the great icons, the so-called symbolic doors - cathedral, University, San Esteban -, with the discovery of the small Romanesque churches of repopulation, the convents in which a singular mode of feminine spirituality was developed, the scenarios of the French, or the most special details of its facades; shields or medallions.

Visits are organised in spring.

INTERNATIONAL ART FESTIVAL, FACYL

Salamanca becomes every June the stage of the International Festival of Arts (FÀCYL) and presents the latest creations around dance, theater, electronic music, graffiti art... Different artists come to the city of Tormes from different parts of the world to show unique shows and montages that surprise the viewer.

The International Festival of the Arts of Castilla y León, promoted by the Junta de Castilla y León, arrives promptly in Salamanca to present, as a premiere in Spain, the latest works and creations of some of the most prestigious international artists of our time.

But above all, and judging by the magnificent response obtained in past editions, FÀCYL is reunited with an increasingly large audience that, year after year, has faithfully followed a varied program selected based on quality and diversity of styles and disciplines.
