Fashion culture. Serrano embroidery craftsmanship

On 18 May, International Museum Day, a new temporary exhibition was inaugurated. This is the exhibition entitled Fashion Culture. Serrano embroidery craftsmanship, which includes examples of provincial craftsmanship with the common denominator of the typical iconographic motifs of popular embroidery that is made in the Sierra de Francia. Mud, wood, metal, glass, plastic... are the supports in which each craftsman has incorporated these motifs with the intention of creating an identity image for the products of that area. The exhibition was inaugurated by the deputy mayor of the city of Salamanca, Ana Suárez. Next to it were present the Councilor for Tourism, Fernando Castaño and the deputies of tourism and culture, Francisco Javier García and David Mingo, of the Salamanca delegation, together with Manuel Arias, president of Adriss. The exhibition can be visited until 3 July.
