PAULINO. History of a Salamanca business with a national entity
For several generations of Salmantinos, Paulino is a name associated with the city's trade. Synonymous with prestige, novelty and also luxury, its historical trajectory was linked to that of its location, the Plaza Mayor. But Paulino was also a company that crossed the limits of Salamanca to settle in the capital of the country, where its stores competed for decades with the most prestigious shops in its field. Tomás Rivas Verdú, who worked in this place for more than forty years, has written the history of the company founded by Paulino García Hernández, in 1927, and that had its first seat on Quintana Street.
