Praised by The New York Times for their «exquisite and fresh interpretations» and described as “revolutionary” by The Guardian, the Quiroga Quartet has established itself as one of the most dynamic and unique quartets of its generation, internationally acclaimed by critics and audiences alike for its unique personality, as well as for its bold and original approach to the string quartet repertoire. Winners of the 2018 National Music Award, the RNE's Ojo Crítico Award, and laureates in the main international quartet competitions (Bordeaux, Paolo Borciani, Geneva, Beijing, Fnapec-Paris, Palau Barcelona), in 2013 the Quiroga Quartet became the first ensemble in residence at the Royal Palace of Madrid, in charge of the decorated Stradivarius quartet from the palatine collection. In this concert they will perform: String Quartet No. 1 in D minor by J. C. de Arriaga, Rondo for String Quartet by A. Webern, and Quartet Op. 51, No. 2 in A minor by J. Brahms.
