Book Presentation

In The Shipwrecked Man's Corner, Antonio Gómez Bueno gathers a life lived between silences, prayers, and seasons. From his deep connection with the land of Salamanca –especially Macotera–, the author traces a poetic journey of profound emotional weight, where love, memory, desire, and spirituality intertwine in an ever-changing inner landscape. The voice of the shipwrecked man emerges from an intimate and vulnerable corner, leaving behind verses that bleed, that seek redemption, that love with faith and despair. Each poem is a season of the soul: the mist of winter, the rebirth of April, the fire of summer, or the melancholic whisper of autumn. This book is a prayer made word, a song to wounded and luminous life. It is a poetic journey that breathes countryside, silence, and thought; an encounter with the essential through honest words. An invitation to shipwreck… but with beauty. At the presentation event, in addition to the author, the following will participate: the anthropologist Arsenio Dacosta, the folklorist Gabriel Calvo, the director of the Macotera Municipal School of Dulzaina and Percussion Victor Blázquez, the actress Paz Lleras, and the poet Toño Blázquez.
