A Movie Mom

The empty nest syndrome is the main theme of this comedy monologue starring Toni Acosta and written and directed by Juan Carlos Rubio. Eva María receives an audio from Nicolás, her only son: she must enter his room and look in the top left drawer of his desk for a red folder containing a document he urgently needs. Urgent means «now, immediately, without losing a moment, mom». To open the drawer, she needs the padlock's key (yes, her son is like that). That's all: drawer, key, red folder, take out document. She takes a photo with her mobile and sends it to him. Nicolás is extremely private and warns her not to fall into the human (and especially maternal) temptation of rummaging through his belongings. Eva María promises her son to strictly fulfill her task, but once immersed in the assignment... Who is free of sin? The memory of her life and the vision of that provocative empty nest will make María slide into a fun spiral, transforming her everyday reality into a true movie adventure.
