Info
The Salamanca Museum of Commerce and Industry is located in the first water deposit or cistern our city had. In this 1870 building, it carries out its work in different fields such as temporary exhibitions, the educational area, permanent exhibitions, or publications. Additionally, it hosts a series of activities in the museum's small square and in the versatile interior space. These activities include: conferences, book presentations, film screenings, tastings and live cooking, educational workshops, concerts, fairs, and even fashion shows. The charm of the space is given by its solid brick-covered groin vaults which, in addition to color and warmth, provide remarkable acoustics. To one side of the versatile area are the museum's warehouses, the freight elevator, restrooms, and the emergency exit. This makes it suitable for both loading and unloading material and for public service. The interior space consists of approximately 100 square meters, which can be extended by considering part of the reception area. The capacity, depending on the activity carried out, ranges between 50 and 80 people.
