Salamanca Promotes Itself as a Filming Location at the Shooting Locations Marketplace Audiovisual Fair
Salamanca Film Commission will participate on October 15 and 16 in the fourth audiovisual locations fair to be held in Valladolid. “Shooting Locations Marketplace” is a great opportunity for the city's audiovisual sector, as it will allow establishing contact with numerous film location managers.
The event is aimed at professionals in the audiovisual industry and destinations that are applying as locations for the filming of film, television, advertising, music, or video game productions. This edition features nearly 50 location managers and more than 30 national and international destinations.
The philosophy of Shooting Locations Marketplace is to offer a commercial and business platform to agents involved in the development of audiovisual projects, a workplace that contributes to promoting Spain as a filming destination and strengthening this industry, which is experiencing a moment of growth and expansion. Thanks to this Fair, the first contact was established between Salamanca Film Commission and Palma Pictures, a production company in Spain that handled the filming of the Indian film made in the city.
This contracting market has an international vocation, and in this fourth edition, it once again features the participation of representatives from at least ten countries. The United Kingdom, Portugal, and Belgium will be present through their respective Film Commissions, and most of the registered location managers come from the United States, Great Britain, Romania, Germany, Canada, Italy, and Malta, with the Anglo-Saxon world being the most numerous.

The fair will be attended by highly experienced professionals who work for major productions from studios and platforms such as Marvel, HBO, Palma Pictures, Netflix, Mediapro, Globomedia, Baelsberg, Franco Films, 22Locations, and Globomedia, among others.
The careers of these professionals include major film and television series titles such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Impossible, Game of Thrones, Money Heist, The Bourne Myth, Argo, Grand Hotel Budapest, Black Mirror, Wonder Woman 84, or New Amsterdam.
The Shooting Locations Marketplace program will be completed with talks, forums, and roundtables featuring the best national and international professionals, in addition to creating numerous spaces and events where attendees can meet and exchange ideas and points of view.
Shooting Locations Marketplace has become an essential event for any film commission, both national and international, as well as being one of the most important international fairs in the sector.
