Mission and Functions of the Salamanca Tourist Information Office

The Tourist Information Office carries out the tasks of destination presentation, information and promotion of the offerings, as well as visitor assistance.

Its importance is a priority, as this office is, in most cases, the first place visitors go, thus becoming the city's true reception point.

Key functions of the Tourist Information Office include the following:

• Welcoming, attending to, and providing tourist information about Salamanca and its surroundings.
• Communication and promotion of tourist resources and services of the city and its surroundings.
• Non-face-to-face tourist assistance and information.
• Collection of statistical data on assistance services, information, visitors, etc.
• Support in coordinating the programming of Tourism, Commerce and Economic Promotion of Salamanca, S.A.U.
• Dissemination of the city's cultural agenda.
• Preparation of material for fairs.
• Preparation of requests for congress material.
• Management of the city's tourist merchandise sales point.
• Dissemination of programs during the city's festivities (Easter, San Juan de Sahagún, Fairs and Festivals)
