DRAMATIZED TOUR: POZO DE NIEVE. CONVENT OF SAN ANDRÉS
1 hour 30 minutes
This special guided tour takes you to two spaces not always open to the public, unveiling their secrets through a dramatized narration that immerses you in their history.
Tour of the Pozo de Nieve and Convent of San Andrés.
The Pozo de Nieve: You will descend into this unique underground space, a 17th-century construction used to store snow and ice, transported from the Sierra de Francia, for food preservation and the preparation of refreshing drinks and medicines. The visit will allow you to understand how these types of historical "refrigerators" functioned.
The Convent of San Andrés: Next to the well, you will discover the remains of the old Convent of San Andrés. This site, which was part of the city's life for centuries, has been reduced to its foundations and underground structures. The dramatized tour recreates the atmosphere and events that took place in this convent and its surroundings, offering a unique and exciting perspective of its past.
The experience is narrated by a character who will guide you with anecdotes and historical details, making the history of these two enclaves feel alive and close.
