TINPLATE JUG FOR THE 1907 REGIONAL EXHIBITION

Made by Ricardo Álvarez Vivas in 1907. Measurements 45 x 30 x 30cm. Donation from Doña Francisca and María del Carmen Álvarez Rodríguez. Exhibited in the museum's grocery store.

This tin pitcher with a lid and inscription was made by the tinsmith Ricardo Álvarez, who had an open workshop on San Pablo Street 44. It was presented at the Salamanca Regional Exhibition of 1907, winning the Bronze Medal. Salamanca organized a large agricultural, livestock, and industrial fair in 1907. Matters related to agriculture and livestock were located in La Alamedilla, while the industrial section was inside the Central Food Market. The family has kindly donated the pitcher, the diploma, and the bronze medal obtained in 1907 to the Museum of Commerce.
