REDONDO WOOLS. MEMORIES OF A FACTORY (1948-1984)
Basilio Redondo's factory was founded in 1948 and definitively closed its doors in July 1984, after almost forty years of production. It was located in Chamberí, a neighborhood in Salamanca where, since the late 19th century, factories and warehouses had proliferated around the railway station located there, given its importance for goods transportation. The text was written by Juan Luis Redondo, the factory's last director. In it, he meticulously describes the wool manufacturing process from its acquisition to dyeing. Available for sale at the Museum of Commerce, the Plaza Mayor Tourism shop, and some bookstores. Since the museum is non-profit, the sale price is 2.5 euros.
