PAULINO. History of a Salamancan Business with National Reach
For several generations of Salamanca residents, Paulino is a name associated with the city's commerce. Synonym of prestige, novelty and also luxury, its historical trajectory was linked to that of its location, the Plaza Mayor.
But Paulino was also a company that crossed the boundaries of Salamanca to settle in the country's capital, where its stores competed for decades with the most prestigious businesses in its sector.
Tomás Rivas Verdú, who worked in this establishment for over forty years, has written the history of the company founded by Paulino García Hernández in 1927, which had its first location on Quintana Street.
For sale at the Museum of Commerce, the Plaza Mayor Tourist shop, and some bookstores. Since the museum is non-profit, the sale price is 2.5 euros.
