ELMA NO. 6 COFFEE GRINDER. MID-20TH CENTURY.

Made of cast steel and wood. Measures 65x45x35cm by the Alava company Elma S.A. Collection of the Museum of Commerce and Industry of Salamanca.

The recently restored grinder (removal of rust layer, greasy dust, etc.) by restorer Isabel Pantaleón Rodríguez, is in perfect condition without losing, at the same time, an iota of the character granted by the passage of time.

The Alava company Elma was founded in 1924 and remains active a hundred years later. In old grocery stores or delicatessens, most products were sold in bulk; oil, legumes, coffee, etc. This model was used to manually grind large quantities of coffee and serve it to customers.

We thank María Nuria Sánchez Vicente for her generosity in donating this wonderful piece. MOLINILLO Nº6 1
