ELMA NO. 6 COFFEE GRINDER. MID-20TH CENTURY.

Made of cast steel and wood. Measures 65x45x35cm by the Alava-based company Elma S.A. Collection of the Museum of Commerce and Industry of Salamanca.

The recently restored grinder (removal of rust layer, greasy dust, etc.) by restorer Isabel Pantaleón Rodríguez, is in perfect condition without losing, at the same time, an iota of the charm that the passage of time bestows.

The Alava-based company Elma was founded in 1924 and continues to operate a hundred years later. In old grocery stores or delicatessens, most products were sold in bulk; oil, legumes, coffee, etc. This model was used to manually grind large quantities of coffee and serve them to customers.

We appreciate the generosity of María Nuria Sánchez Vicente for donating this wonderful piece, to which the restoration has given the balance and appearance it deserves. MOLINILLO Nº6 1
